This competition will only be open to active and retired law enforcement officers. There will be 3 judges who will have final say about any disputes to the Range Master’s decisions during the competition. There is no appeal after they have made their decision. This is a 3 gun competition, one member of your team will be designated to shoot one of the phases of the course of fire. One competitor from each team will shoot a phase of fire from the course. The three person team will have one pistol shooter, one rifle shooter, and one shotgun shooter. There will be one precision rifle course shot it will be scored by the smallest overall group. The course will consist of varying targets at different ranges.

The winners for the 3 gun competition will be determined by the highest overall score. In the event of a tie the tie will be broken through a shoot off between one member from each team. That course of fire will be not be revealed until the shoot off. The overall winner will be given the top prize and there will a second and third place determined. There will be a precision Rifle course overall winner along with a second and third place will be determined.

All weapons must be of duty type weapons (no race guns) and all weapons will only be utilized with iron sights no scopes, red dots, or holographic sights allowed. All weapons must be able to be holstered or slung when not being utilized. Shotguns cannot have longer than a 21 inch barrel. Patrol rifle must be an AR15 or Mini14 type rifle in a .223 or similar weapon. Pistols must be 9mm, .40, .45, or .357 sig semiautomatic weapons.

Pistol Course:

24 rounds

The competitor will start at the 50 yard line in a standing position. On the command to Go or sound of Horn.

Move to the 35 yard line prone position shooting until the target is neutralized or no more than 4 shots. The target is a bowling pin.

Move to 25 yard line prone position support hand, two handed shooting, support side of the simulated cover shooting until the target is neutralized or no more than 3 shots. Move to the strong side of simulated cover, strong hand two handed shooting until the target is neutralized or no more than 3 shots. Targets are bowling pins.

Move to the 10 yard line and shoot 6 clay pigeons – 3 right handed and 3 left handed must shoot at least 2 with each hand before they can move on.

Move to the 25 yard line and shoot 3 pepper poppers.

The competitor will move to the location of the rifle competitor and tag their teammate.

The competitor is only allowed to have 24 rounds of handgun ammo on their person for this course of fire.

Scoring: 5 points for each strong hand shot bowling pin. 10 points for each support hand shot bowling pin. 5 points for each strong hand shot clay pigeon that is broken (broken means a piece is visibly missing from the clay). 10 points for each support hand shot clay pigeon that is broken (broken means a piece is visibly missing from the clay) 5 points for each pepper popper that is knocked down (pepper popper must fall). Rifle:

20 rounds

After the rifle competitor has been tagged by their teammate at the 100 yard line. Assume the prone position and shoot two pieces of steel until the target has been neutralized or no more than 4 shots.

Move to the 50 yard line assume the kneeling position and shoot a bowling pin until the target has been neutralized or no more than 3 shots.

Move to the 25 yard line assume any position shoot a bowling pin until the target has been neutralized or no more than 3 shoots.

Move to the 15 yard line shoot 6 clay pigeons 3 support hand and 3 strong hand. The person must either shoot until ammo is out or at least 2 clays from the each side have been shot.

The competitor will move to the location of the shotgun competitor and tag their teammate.

The competitor is only allowed to have 20 rounds of rifle ammo on their person for this course of fire.

This course of fire is iron sights only.

Scoring:

5 points for each steel plate. 5 points for each bowling pin. 5 points for each clay pigeon that is shoot strong hand and broken (broken means a piece is visibly missing from the clay). 10 points for each clay pigeons that is shoot support hand and broken(broken means a piece is visibly missing from the clay).

Shotgun:

4 rounds of slugs

12 rounds of # 6 or #8 bird shot

After the shotgun competitor has been tagged by their teammate at the 100 yard line.

Shotgun is loaded with 2 rounds of slugs, The competitor may have two backup slugs but cannot load them until they are needed.

Move to the 50 yard line on the pistol range and shoot until the target has been neutralized on a silhouette target must shoot at least one round on each target before moving to next target.

While on the move from the 50 yard line to the 25 yard line load the shotgun.

Move to the 25 yard line and shoot 12 bowling pins.

The competitor will move back to the 50 yard line to finish the course of fire. The competitor is only allowed to have 4 rounds of slugs and 12 rounds of #6 or #8 bird shot for this course of fire.

This course of fire is iron sights only.

Scoring: 5 points for each head shot on the silhouette. 3 points for each body shot on the silhouette. 5 points for each bowling pin hit.

The competitors have 4 minutes 30 seconds to complete the entire course of fire.

Precision Rifle Course of Fire:

Cold Bore Shot:

1 Round

Shooter standing at the 100 yard line with the rifle in hand the shooter has 1 minute to fire 1 round from the prone position and strike a 1.5 inch circle. The bullet must be inside the circle to be scored it cannot touch the edge of the circle at all. If it does it does not count.

Tactical Phase:

13 Rounds

Shooter standing at 100 yard line with the rifle in hand shooter will have 1 minute 15 seconds to fire 3 rounds from the prone position and strike a 2 inch circle. The bullet must be inside the circle to be scored it cannot touch the edge of the circle at all. If it does it does not count.

Shooter will then run down to the 75 yard line and fire 3 rounds from a kneeling position. The shooter will then move to the 50 yard line and fire 3 rounds from a seated position across a table. The shooter will then move to the 25 yard line and fire 3 rounds from a simulated window frame. The shooter then runs back to the 100 yard line and fire 1 round from the prone position on a 2 inch circle. The shooter will have 3 minutes 10 seconds to complete this phase of fire. The bullet must be inside the circle to be scored it cannot touch the edge of the circle at all. If it does it does not count.

The winner will be determined by the highest overall score. If a round is not in the scoring area it will not be counted.

Rounds inside the circle will count 10 points each for a total of 140 points.
