The purpose of TAG Mail is to assist TAG members identify and share relevant information for their professional practice. Members are encouraged to routinely forward TAG Mail to others who they believe would benefit from this information such as colleagues in the same hospital department if they are not already receiving TAG Mail.

TAG ACTIVITIES **Medicines Management 2016 Sasha Bennett, Margaret Jordan and Lisa Shaheen will be attending the SHPA National Conference in Perth this week. NSW TAG is presenting an oral paper entitled ‘Wising up: Revitalising drug usage evaluation activity in NSW and ACT hospitals’ and a poster entitled ‘Eyes wide open: Making wise choices for medicines used in eye surgery.’

** NSW TAG Life Saving Drugs Register: Antivenom Stocks 2016 Survey - Thank you to those who have already completed the antivenom survey for their facilities. For facilities that have not yet responded please do so at their earliest convenience using the following link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/antivenom2016 These registers are used by NSW hospitals, hospitals of other jurisdictions, retrieval services and Poisons Information Centres across Australia to provide 24-hour assistance in location of antidote and antivenom stocks. As such, when NSW TAG has not received stock information from a hospital, the hospital will be listed with a ‘NO DETAILS PROVIDED’ notation. Hospitals which do not stock antidotes or antivenoms will also be identified.
