An Aid for Your Private Devotions

Psalms & Readings (an aid for your private devotions)

The thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time is this lectionary's annual starting-point. 1/ It "changes Testaments", so for the next year we shall be reading: Matthew, Luke & Acts, and some of the New Testament's letters. 2/ The Psalms (a note mainly for Anglicans) Some people use the Daily Services in one of the Australian prayer books for their private devotions. In those books a few psalms are used as parts of some services, and such psalms are marked here: <> brackets - used in AAPB and APBA [[square]] brackets - used only in AAPB

A Change With The Psalms: Since we began in 1977 we have read the psalms as wholes apart from the “historical surveys” 78, 105, 106. This year we shall read these also as wholes; 105 & 106 aren’t longer than 18 & 89, but 78 is. If you find it too long, please let me know [[email protected]] and we’ll revert to our former dividing them.
