PLANNING WORKSHEET FOR THE ASSOCIATE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE DEGREE 2015-2016 DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

A. A minimum of 60 credits is required. When completing these 60 credits students must satisfy one of the following: 1. At least 36 of the 60 credits must be earned in the UW Colleges, or 2. At least 12 of the final 24 credits must be earned in the UW Colleges.

B. A student must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 earned at the UW Colleges and a 2.0 overall GPA in credits applied to the Associate of Arts and Science degree.

C. The UW Colleges General Education Requirements must be fulfilled.

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

I. CORE REQUIREMENTS

GRADE OF C OR BETTER (NOT C-) OR EXEMPTION* FROM THE FOLLOWING: ENG 102 _____ AND MAT 108 _____ OR MAT 110 _____

*Consult the UW Colleges catalog regarding exemption from core requirements. If your English placement test indicates you may be exempt from taking ENG 102, please contact the English Department during your 1st semester at UW-BC.

THE WRITING AND MATHEMATICS CORE REQUIREMENTS MAY NOT BE USED TO SATISFY A BREADTH REQUIREMENT WHEN USED TO SATISFY A CORE REQUIREMENT.

II. BREADTH REQUIREMENTS

FINE ARTS AND HUMANITIES MATHEMATICAL AND NATURAL SCIENCE A student must earn a minimum of 9 credits with at least one course A student must earn a minimum of 11 credits in this category.
