Randolph County

The primary purpose of the REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC is to influence the election of local, state and national candidates who will best support and promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) citizens. In addition, consideration is given to a candidate’s past and current positions on issues supporting the business and social interests of Replacements, Ltd. (which includes fostering an open community in which all individuals are free to participate and serve without discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity) and the strategic viability of the candidate.

We endorse candidates based on research and responses to our Replacements Ltd. PAC survey.

*************************************************** The REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC has endorsed some Republican candidates. However, we are cautious because the NC Republican Party Platform is opposed to LGBT equality. We recognize that not all Republicans share this attitude.

North Carolina Republican Party Platform For 2010 Adopted June 4, 2010  Taxpayers should not fund benefit plans for unmarried partners.  We support federal and state constitutional amendments to limit marriage to the union of one man and one woman.  We oppose adoption or foster parenting by same sex couples.  We oppose all forms of invidious discrimination. Sexual orientation is not an appropriate category.
