APRIL VACATION AT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF CAPE COD
The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod is open Monday to Friday April 18-April 22 during April School Vacation from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm . The Club will be taking three special field trips during the vacation week.
On April 19th, the bus will be leaving the Boys & Girls Club at 9:30 for a day at the Science Museum in Boston. The children will visit the exhibits and go to the IMAC movie before returning the Club. The fee for the trip to the Science Museum is $20. On
Wednesday, April 20th the Club will be taking a bus load of children bowling. The bus will leave the Club at 1pm and return by 4 pm. The fee for bowling is $10 per child.
On Thursday, April 21st, the Club will be going to a Movie Matinee at the Mashpee Commons. The fee for the movie is $6/child. Children should bring extra money for lunch and snacks on all field trips.
In addition, daily activities are planned during the week. The Club will celebrating Earth Day all week and activities will include planting seedlings, decorating flower pots, and getting the grounds ready to plant a Club butterfly garden. With spring here, the Club will also be focusing on Sports and Fitness and games outside like volley ball, jump rope, cooking nutritious food and much more.
Advanced reservations and a signed permission slip are required and children need to be members of the Club, or join the Club as a member, prior to leaving on field trips. Membership in the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod is open to all Cape Cod children, ages 6-18, for only $15 for the entire school year. The Boys & Girls Club is centrally located in the upper Cape in Mashpee on Rt.151 near the rotary behind the Mashpee Police and Fire stations at 31 Frank E. Hicks Drive. The Club is open after school from 2 to 7 pm Monday through Friday. In addition, regular teen nights are held on Wednesday night from 7-9 and on Friday from 7-10:00. Boys & Girls Club membership includes unlimited use of the facility- the gym, the high speed internet computer room, the arts and crafts programs, pool, foosball, air hockey, Teen and TV room, education, tutoring and career prep programs, character and leadership programs, and more, Most of the programs offered at the Club are free for members but sometimes there is a small fee to cover the cost of a program. The Boys & Girls Club philosophy is to provide services to all children, regardless of family income, and limited scholarship money is available to help cover fees when there is a documented financial need.
