CHELSEA’S FANS’ FORUM - YOUR CHANCE TO STAND

The Chelsea FC Fans’ Forum has now been running for twelve years. At the end of this season, a proportion of non-reserved seats are vacated. This is your opportunity to stand for one of those seats. If selected, you will be on the Forum for two years.

Aims of the Forum

The aims of the Forum are as follows:

 To establish a dialogue between the Club and fans;  To develop a better understanding of issues that affect supporters;  An opportunity for the Club to discuss new ideas.

The end goals of the Forum are:  Ensuring that all Chelsea supporters feel valued in their loyalty to the Club;  To increase the supporter base;  To provide supporters – as far as reasonably possible - with the facilities and conditions that they expect from Chelsea FC;  To help develop a business structure that underpins a successful football team.

Structure of the Forum

To reflect the diverse nature of Chelsea's support, representatives are drawn from a variety of supporters: home and away season ticket holders, Club members, private box and executive suite members, family stand season ticket holders, over 65 year old fans, 16-21 year old fans, disabled fans, LGBT fans and representatives of official and unofficial supporters clubs.

We fully realise that many fans may overlap between categories, but consider it important to aim for a wide range of representation. The above, of course, in no way prevents someone over-65, 16-21, LGBT or disabled from standing for, or being selected from, another category for which they qualify. However, in the interests of balance and gauging fans' views from as wide a range as possible, supporters' groups will be restricted to one member on the Forum.

It is important for the Forum to allow a variety of views to be heard. As a result, Forum members will serve a term of two years.

Please only put your name forward if there are issues you want to discuss with the Club, as all Forum members are expected to make a significant contribution to the discussions.

The following seats on the Forum need to be filled for the upcoming season:

- Home Season Ticket Holder (1 place) - Away Season Ticket Holder (1 place) - Disabled representative (1 place) - Family Stand representative (1 place) - LGBT representative (1 place) - UK branches (3 places) - UK/ Eire branches (1 place) - Overseas supporters club branches (2 places) 1 When do the meetings take place?

There are three meetings per season. During the 2016/17 season meetings will take place at the stadium on non-match days during the evening. Please only put your name forward if you are confident that you will be able to attend every Forum meeting each season.

Who will be administering the selection process?

Chelsea has appointed Electoral Reform Services (ERS), an independent balloting organisation, to administer the process. ERS also manages the Forum meetings on behalf of the Club.

How can I apply to become a representative on the Forum?

 Please complete the application form and post it to ERS, The Election Centre, 33 Clarendon Road, London, N8 0NW or email it to the address below to arrive no later than 2pm on Thursday, 30th June 2016. You may only submit ONE application and you may only apply to represent ONE category, irrespective of how many categories you qualify for. The deadline for Family Stand season ticket holders has been extended until Friday 8th July 2016 at 5PM.

 After the closing date for applications, ERS will check for invalid or multiple applications. All valid applications will then go forward to a draw for the relevant category.

 ERS will randomly draw the required number of representatives from the valid applications for each category.

Who can apply to be a Forum Representative?

 You must be in the appropriate category to represent that category. The column “Information Required” clarifies this.

 You cannot be a Forum representative if you have been on the Forum in the past four years.
