Why Dance?

The Department of Dance at Robert B Glenn High School aims to encourage creative expression through movement and performance regardless of previous experience. Dance is not just about learning and creating movement but being able to speak, read, write and view intelligently. Establishing a community in dance promotes respect and appreciation of individuals, ideas, the class and the space. At Glenn High School we emphasize a solid foundation in technique which is basic to achievement in dance. We explore the creative and performing aspects of dance through our concert performances.
