Unit 1. Where Do You Have Pain?

AF_SCC02_ What's the matter? Unit 1. Where do you have pain?

When we are ill, the first thing that we do is to show where we have pain. That’s the reason why you are going to learn the different parts of our body, where there are and how to say them in English.

Unit1_Act1 Introduction

What about your body? Do you know where your neck is? And your wrist?

Here you have three websites to introduce this vocabulary:

THE BODY: http://www.languageguide.org/english/vocabulary/body/

THE FACE: http://www.languageguide.org/english/vocabulary/face/

THE BODY II: http://www.languageguide.org/english/vocabulary/body2/

Unit1_Act2 Memory

Have you ever played a memory game? It’s a funny game. You have to match pictures with their name. If you are right, you’ll win. If you are wrong, you have to try again.

It’s really easy.

There are two memory games, one about face parts and another one about the body.

Try to play here!!

You will need to click on the link, extract the files into a folder in your computer and then open the html file.

Unit1_Act3 Fill the gapstr

Now, you need more practice. Here you have an activity for practising the body parts. You have a text about the body. You have to read it and fill the gaps with the best word.

Unit1_Act4 Now you speak!

Imagine that you have a friend who doesn’t speak English and you have to teach him the different parts of your body. Try to tell him where you have the different parts and what their names are.

Example: My head is on the top part of my body (with your hand touch your head) My face has two green eyes, a nose, a mouth and two ears (with your fingers touch the different parts)

After practising for 10 minutes, record your voice with your mobile phone. Submit your work to your teacher.
