With CET Designer 3.0, Configura introduces a User-based license model and storage for projects in MyConfigura:

 Freedom with new, User-based licensing. With CET Designer 3.0 launching June 18, Configura switches from a machine-based to a User-based license model so Users can install and use CET Designer on as many computers as they want. Each license is connected to a specific User account. Users can work anytime, anywhere.

 Everything in one place. In conjunction with CET Designer 3.0, Configura launches MyConfigura, a portal webservice connecting Users to all of Configura’s cloud-based services. For CET Designer Users, MyConfigura is also like an umbrella under which everything – from licensing information to current projects, renderings, even videos – can be safely stored, easily accessed and readily shared.

 A better design experience. With CET Designer 3.0 + MyConfigura, Configura enhances Users’ experience: Design, specify, render and order with CET Designer anywhere AND go online to Configura.com > MyConfigura to store and share work. This is next step in making CET Designer a totally integrated, single-tool solution.

Some Users may have experienced a bit of MyConfigura in beta. Now, Configura is opening up this technology – designed in collaboration with CET Designer “power peer” Users – to ALL CET Designer Users (designers/specifiers), Buyers (those who purchase CET Designer for dealerships) and Supervisors (Manufacturers/Extension owners). MyConfigura is technology that handles the communication between Configura software and the license server. But MyConfigura is much more:

1. MyConfigura is a portal webservice via Configura.com connecting authorized Users, Buyers and Supervisors to all of Configura’s cloud-based services.

2. MyConfigura is community, a place provided by Configura where Users, Buyers and Supervisors can create Briefcases (and store/share CET Designer files) and collaborate via discussion threads.

3. MyConfigura is communication, a means of sharing messages.

 The company offers training through an annual user conference in Las Vegas, a CET Designer Academy in Grand Rapids, Mich., a training tour at showrooms across North America, as well as through ongoing webinars and self-study videos.
