Types of grants for health professionals The first step in the process of writing a grant is researching grantors. Where do you go to find out about grants? First, look in your organization’s historical files for grant opportunities that slipped away, and examine similar organizations’ websites, newsletters, and annual reports for notations about grants received. Consider corporations and foundations in your local area. Talk with others who have been successful getting grants about opportunities.
