DIRECTIONS TO AWAY CROSS COUNTRY MEETS – 2016

Donovan Park - Aug. 31st - Peoria Notre Dame and Elmwood/Brimfield – Located in Knoxville Rd. Look for the Rock Island Greenway pedestrian bridge – the entrance is directly south of the bridge. Parking is very limited.

Detweiller Park – Sept. 10th - First to the Finish (Formally called the Woodruff Invite), October 1st Peoria High Invite, October 14th Mid-Illini Conference, and November 5th State Meet. Detweiller Park is located off Route 29 north of Peoria toward Chillicothe on the left side of road as you are traveling north. The Park is approximately 5-6 miles north of McCluggage Bridge.

Galesburg at Lake Storey – September 3rd Take Interstate 74 toward Galesburg and then take the exit (46A) for Route 34 west toward Monmouth. Approximately one mile you will take the exit (for Alpha – the 2nd exit) for Route 150 West. North Lake Storey Road is the first road on the left (about one half mile). Course is three fourths of one mile down Lake Storey Road on the left.

Pekin F/S Boys and Girls Open – September 8th The races will be run at Pekin Comm. High School in the area just north of the school. The bus from the school will take the Metamora/Washington Blacktop through Washington toward Route 150 that runs to Morton. Go across Route 150 approximately 2 to 3 miles to Broadway turn right on to Broadway. Take Broadway into Pekin. Turn left onto S. Parkway Drive, turn right at the first street. Parking will be in that area.

Dunlap Invite September 17th (located at the new Junior High School off of Route 91.) Go to Peoria (War Memorial Drive - west) to Route 91 North (turn right on to Route 91) take Route 91 toward Dunlap and the new Junior High School is on the right side of the road before you get into Dunlap.

East Peoria and Dunlap – September 27th at ICC – Parking is at Dirksen Hall. Please follow the ICC road signs from US Route 24.

Normal West Invite on September 29th -- at Maxwell Park Meet is run south of Normal West High School and directly north of Parkside Junior High (where the IESA CC State is held). Take Interstate 74 towards Bloomington-Normal. Take the Mitsubishi exit (Exit 125) and then turn right and then left at the first stop light onto Raab Road. Approximately 2 miles turn right onto North Parkside Road. Go past Normal West High School and the course is on the right side of the road at Maxwell Park. Parking is available either in Maxwell Park or in the lot of Parkside Jr. High.

Limestone and Canton - October 4th at Limestone (Alpha Park). Take 116 to East Peoria through Creve Coeur. Merge onto I-474 W to Galesburg, Take Exit 5 and turn left on Airport Road, approx. 3 miles, Alpha Park is on the left hand side. Parking is very limited.

Normal Community JV Meet on October 24th at Maxwell Park This is the same location as the Normal West Invite on September 29th above.
