Meeting called to order at 1930 hours by President Denise Kasprzak. Roll call of officers indicated officers present, President Denise Kasprzak and First Vice President Denny Sexton and Secretary/Treasurer Jim Curran. Officers Absent: 2nd Vice President Chris Heward Roll call of departments indicated 15 departments represented with 42 members present. The donations received for dinner is in the amount of $97.00, and 50/50 of $78.00. July minutes were reviewed and approved as presented. The August and September treasurers report was presented and approved. Bills submitted for payment: $216.38 for August meeting meal reimbursement and $425.00 for OEX 400 Alto Public Address System reimbursement. COMMUNICATIONS: Lincoln Township F.D. is hosting Live Flashover Training at their station on September 26, 27, and 28. There is no cost to individual firefighters or their department to attend this training. Emergency Management: Mike Bradley – reports they are finalizing two exercises to be held this month. DNR: Mike Pine – None Chiefs’ Association: Scott Richcreek – reported on the pager issue and to get pagers in as soon as possible. Contact person is Scott Richcreek or Mike Bradley. Dispatch: Denny Sexton – Consolidation of dispatch will take effect October 1st.

Training Committee: Skip Munson – None.

OLD BUSINESS: Tom Wicker provided a report to the membership on the Berrien County Fair, which went very well.

NEW BUSINESS: President Kasprzak presented a plaque to retired Buchanan City F.D. Chief Warren Weaver. The plaque was in appreciation for the many contributions Warren has made over the years to the fire service. Warren received a standing ovation after the presentation. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Dale Stover advised the membership of the Little Squirt Golf Outing on Friday, September 12th. Denny Sexton advised the membership of a benefit hog roast for Dan Daniels. The event will be held at Lake Township Park on Sunday, September 7th @ 4:00PM. Jeff Moses won the 50/50 and donated half the winnings back to the association. Thank You Jeff. Host Chief Tim Gowen thanked everyone for coming and recognized the church group who put on tonight’s meal.. Meeting adjourned at 2040 hours.
