The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a cohort of candidates who are undertaking vocationally related qualifications principally Level 2 and 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce (Early Years Educator) and level 2 and 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
The primary focus of this role is to undertake assessment of candidates in the workplace in a professional and timely manner, you will undertake regular reviews of learners’ progress and take responsibility for all administration connected with the job role. An Early Years / Childcare background is essential. Candidates should be able to offer some degree of flexibility in terms of hours/days of work.
Main Duties and responsibilities
Ensuring timely achievement of qualification is met by working with candidates to monitor and set short, medium and long term targets. Ensuring that employers are aware of their responsibilities in relation to Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities. Undertake Health and Safety monitoring within the workplace, completing the relevant documentation. Developing and maintaining relationships with companies in order to secure continued training opportunities. Contribute to awarding body standardisation and internal and external verification procedures. Working with the immediate team to identify/produce/update resources for all delivery options. Working, where appropriate with employers to develop their workforce training needs and responding to new business opportunities. Maintaining records of student progress and attendance and monitoring these against planned achievement dates, ensuring timely achievement is met. Provide advice and guidance to candidates on progression routes and further development. Working with the programme team to deliver and mark underpinning knowledge where appropriate. Liaise with the Internal Verifier and attend standardisation meetings to maintain the high standards set within the department. Undertake appropriate staff development including mandatory training. To identify the financial, health and safety, equality, confidentiality or other risks associated with the post’s sphere of responsibility and to define and take positive action to manager these risks. Carry out such duties, which may reasonably be required from time to time. To carry out all the above duties in the context of the practical application of the college’s equal opportunities policy and act responsible at all times in order to maintain the health and safety of yourself and others

Essential Desirable Evidence
1. Vocational Qualification with current and extensive ü A,I,R experience in Early Years.
2. A vocationally related qualification at Level 3 or above ü A,I,C

4. Assessor qualifications e.g. D32/33 A1 or TAQA. ü A,C
5. Good administrative skills and competent in the use of IT ü A,I systems (Microsoft Office)

7. A commitment to undertaking continuing professional ü I development as identified to ensure effective performance within the role

The post is offered on an Education Business Services (Stoke) Ltd contract.
Conditions of Appointment All appointments are offered subject to a period of probationary service up to twelve months, during which time performance will be assessed. In addition, all appointments are subject to: • medical review • verification of relevant qualifications • receipt of references considered suitable by the Company • a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure check

Working Hours The standard full time working week for all staff is 37 hours.

Salary Payments Salary is paid by direct credit transfer to your bank or building society account in 12 equal parts. Payment is made on the 27th day of each month or the next working day thereafter.
Notice Periods The amount of notice you are required to give and entitled to receive is 1 months. Fixed term appointments may be offered with a notice period of one week, depending upon the length of the fixed term. The notice period applicable during a probationary period is 1 week.
Location of Work Your principal place of work will be at the site given in the job description of the post. However, you may be required to work on either temporary or indefinite basis, at any premises at which the Company may from time to time provide services.
