To those of you who are going away for a summer break, we hope that you have a happy and refreshing time and come back to us safe and sound. Remember, however, that God himself does not have holidays and that there will be Sunday Mass wherever in the world you may visit. For those of you with computers, you will be able to ‘Google’ the place you are going to, together with ‘Catholic Church’ and hopefully you will find out the location of the Catholic Church. If you need help in locating a church in another part of this country, please feel free to phone the Presbytery and we’ll happily look it up for you in the Catholic directory.

I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD 77. Q. What does it mean to say that Jesus Christ is at the same time true God and true man?

A. In Jesus, God really became one of us and thus our brother; nevertheless, he did not cease to be God at the same time and thus our Lord. The Council of Chalcedon in the year 451 taught that the divinity and the humanity in the one person Jesus Christ are united together “without division or confusion.
