To provide best practice patient care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary hospital team, Position Purpose: acting in a position of advocacy for the patient and their family Act as a clinical resource in women’s health nursing To provide clinical nursing encompassing consultation and clinical practice, and be involved in education, research and the planning and development of chemotherapy services. Division 1 Registered Nurse Qualifications: Post Graduate qualification in area of clinical practice area of women’s health and /or oncology Post graduate qualification in Chemotherapy/Cancer services or working towards. Contemporary clinical nursing practice within cancer nursing and the provision of chemotherapy services Contemporary clinical nursing practice within women’s health and gynaecolgy services and surgical procedures Chemotherapy Nursing Module 1,2 & 3 (Peter MacCullum) or equivalent Relevant Competencies: ANC Competency set by relevant professional body for clinical specialty AHPRA

Assumes a role in the support of nurses in the planning, provision and evaluation of care of women with cancer Actively maintains currency of all criteria relevant to drug trial undertaken within the department. Ensure compliancy with OH&S, Infection control and quality policies and procedures. Contributes towards the organisation being successfully accredited by ACHS.
