MATH MCPS provides a comprehensive mathematics program to promote the achievement of every student. A key component of our program is ensuring that all secondary students are placed in mathematics courses that deliver an appropriate level of challenge. All MCPS high schools collect and analyze multiple pieces of student data in order to make mathematics placement decisions, including grades, test scores, and teacher recommendations. Parents will be informed of mathematics placement decisions for the coming school year prior to the end of the current school year.
