Supplies: Spiral Notebook, calculator and pen.

Class Rules and Expectations:

Prompt: All students are expected to be punctual for class. No exceptions. If a student is in school, and fails to show up for class, the front office will be notified of the absence.

Prepared: Students are expected to have their notebooks, pens and completed assignments for each class. Students will not be allowed to leave class because they have forgotten something in their lockers.

Participate: All students are expected to actively participate in class discussions and activities. Be prepared! Students will be called to answer questions with or without having their hands raised. Know where we are in the lesson at all times.

Polite: All students will be respectful of the teacher and other students in the room. Do not disrupt, call out or show any form of rude behavior during class.

Consequences:

First Offense: Student will receive a verbal warning. Second Offense: Student will receive a written warning which they will sign. Third Offense: Detention or Suspension as warranted. Fourth Offense: Contacting parent/guardian for a conference.

*Any fighting, foul language or gestures will result in a pass to the Front Office. *Cell phones or electronic devices will be confiscated. *Failing to abide by the class rules will affect your grade. Personal Finance is a course designed to teach you relevant topics, from planning a career, to managing your finances, to purchasing insurance. This is a fast-paced course covering a wide range of topics. Below is a schedule of the topics which will be covered in the two marking periods you will be here. This schedule is subject to change if necessary.

Credit: Helpful or Hurtful? – Advantages and Chapter 13 Disadvantages or Credit, Types of Credit.
