OPENING: The Old Bill opened the meeting in the traditional manner and welcomed all present at the meeting. Visitors – Cydney Geldenhuis, Jonathan de Bruin, Sick Parade – Frank advised that Neville Woodhouse keeps falling over. They’ve put him in a wheelchair in an upstairs flat. He is not at all well. BIRTHDAY Congratulations for August: Sharon Sim (31), Renton Whyte (17), Ian Rall (22) Shirley Wood turning 80 (9) and Betty de Wit (8) SERGEANT MAJOR ORDERS: Two defaulters. Pay Bill Adrian Visser and everyone who did not salute the vacant chair. MINUTES of MEETING: Minutes of the previous meeting (3 July 2016) had been emailed to all members with an email address and posted on the notice board and were proposed by Moth Teus Bezuidenhout and seconded by Moth Shane Helberg as a true reflection of the meeting. MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES No matters arising.

OLD BILLS REPORT Nil CORRESPONDENCE MOTH GHQ – Medals are only to be worn on the Moth and full Legion uniform. Miniature medals are not to be worn at all. PMC – Document referring to Old Bills who refer Moths for accommodation in the cottages. There is a certain procedure which must be followed, if you would like to know it, it is displayed on the notice board. Full National Executive Minutes for the 10th July 2016. It is displayed on the notice board. SKZN – Moth 90th Anniversary in Durban next year. Accommodation has been organised mainly at Charles Hoffe Park. SPORTS/RAIDS/FUNCTIONS/ENTERTAINMENT Snooker Tournament hosted by Hamba Kahle at District Hall from 22 – 26 August 2016. Old Bill encouraged members to participate. 28 August 2016 - Beric Johnson Walk at 10h00. Braai to be held afterwards Desert Shellhole – Kimberly Battlefield Tour in August. If you are interested please see Old Bill. Allan Wilson Social Club AGM on 16 August 2016 at 18h30 at Allan Wilson Shellhole. The Agenda is up on the Notice Board. 26 August 2016 – Talk on Koefoet at 19h00 at Allan Wilson Shellhole Boerewors rolls will be on sale. This will be a very interesting talk. No entry fee. 13-14 August 2016 Collectors Fair at Allan Wilson Shellhole.

GARDEN OF REMEMBERANCE Old Bill thanked Moth Bob Cameron and Friend of the Moth Marie Labuschagne for all their hard work at the Garden of Remembrance. AWARDS

Friends of the Moth, Hannah-Rose Milton and Marie Labuschagne were awarded a Certificate of Good Comradeship for a non-Moth – “G Badge” for their help to the Shellhole. Moth Bob Cameron was also thanked for his contribution towards the Shellhole with a case of beer.

The Swindle was won by Moth Bes Bezuidenhout and the Mystery Parcel was won by Moth Keith Commins.

Friend of the Moth Marie Labuschagne was thanked for the snacks.

The next Allan Wilson monthly meeting will be held on the 4th September 2016 at 11h00.
