Tamara Fackrell is a partner at VRP Mediation and has been mediating for the past 16 years. She has been a practicing attorney since 1998 and also has a Ph.D. in Marriage, Family, and Human Development with a focus on divorce and children of divorce. She has mediated in several arenas including domestic, victim offender, employment, probate, and negligent homicide. Tamara has been the keynote speaker of many national conferences and workshops. She is the author of several books and articles including a guide for divorcing couples utilized by the Utah Commission on Marriage. She is an LLM candidate at Pepperdine for International Dispute Resolution. Tamara served on the Advisory Committee to the Judicial Council and also has been a primary trainer in Mediation qualifying mediators for the State of Utah since 1999. She was on the Founding Board of the Utah Council on Conflict Resolution and Community Mediation Center. She has served as the UCCR Symposium Chairperson for two years, on the Association for Conflict Resolution Proposal Committee, and on the UVU Legal Studies Advisory board. She helped to initiate the Victim Offender Mediation Program in the Fourth District Juvenile Court. Tamara received an honorary award from the Juvenile Justice Services, Slate Canyon Youth Program, Zion’s Bank, and was the UCCR Philanthropist of the year in 2011. Her pastimes include traveling, triathlons, and composing music.
