Why I want to serve as Ohio ACTE President Elect?
I would like to serve as President Elect of Ohio ACTE to continue to support and promote career technical education thru out the state of Ohio. The demand for Career Tech skills are at an all- time high. All one needs to do is look at help wanted ads, on-line job sites, and local newscasts to see the needs of our Ohio companies. Governor Kasich and the state legislators have taken notice, knowing that a great workforce makes for a stronger state and region. Our schools teach skills that allow students to get good paying jobs, help lower college loans for our students, allow students to earn college credit, and become important contributors to our local economies. I have had the privilige to work with ODE, state legislators, fellow CTE professionals, and business people thru out the years. I feel those relationships will allow me to continue to support both the students and the world of CTE in Ohio.
