2016-2017 FUSD Elementary School Basketball League Grant $200/Site

Background: The Guy Emanuele Sports Fund was first started with a generous donation from retired School Board Trustee Guy Emanuele to support after school sports at the high school level. As funds were made more available, the Fremont Education Foundation began distributing grants to elementary schools in the FUSD who participated in the district’s elementary school after school basketball program.

Purpose: Each grant shall not exceed $200 per school. The site administrator, in conjunction with the coaches, shall decide how to use the grant. Examples of use: defer the costs of referees, defer the costs of uniforms, defer the costs for the tournament, etc.

Grant Process:

 FUSD Elementary School Principals can apply using the grant application beginning January 9, 2017. Applications can be found at http://www.fremont- education.org/sports.html  One application may be submitted per site  Deadline to Apply: Postmarked by January 17, 2017  Mail to: FEF c/o GESF Elementary Basketball Grant 39120 Argonaut Way, #430 Fremont, CA 94538  Grants Announced: Week of January 30, 2017  If awarded a grant, the principal will be required to submit a copy of the receipt(s) or invoice(s) to verify how the grant money was used with a grant summary form.
