Manipal University has given us the oppurtunity to dream and bring the same to fruition. I was part of the founding team that initiated the conception of the Department of Interior Design at our Dubai Campus in September 2004. From our bread and butter Bachelor’s in Interior Design Program, we have come a long way with the successful launch of the Certificate Program of Interior Design in 2005 and the Masters Program of Interior Design in 2007. The challenge of unravelling the accreditation process of applying to the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi, India; and getting the NATA Test Center Status in 2012 to successfully launch the 5 year Bachelor of Architecture Program was a feather in the cap for Team – School of Design and Architecture. This is a success story that continues to this day with further approvals from CoA in 2013 for an additional 40 seats in the B.Arch. program to the existing 40 seats given in 2012; the Faculty Development Program by NIASA at our campus in 2014 and the way forward.

What are your leisure interests and activities? High Priority Info Type: Readily available Instruction(s): Provide links and references information YOUR RESPONSE

Hobbies are a way of life for the creative soul in me. Starting from philately, numistatics during my earlier years to an extensive collection of R.K. Lakshman’s cariacatures; currently my interests include fountain pens & accessories, mechanical watches and a small but growing collection of alalogous cum digital books & documentaries. Fine arts and applied arts have always been a part of me; and after giving up photpgraphy, have got back to sketching, painting and diary writing as a part of my observations with reference to the built environment.
