MA DEP will accept written comments on the Water Management permit application filed for permitting in the Concord River Basin under the Water Management Act (MGL 21G). Comments will be accepted until close of business on February 22, 2003. Quail Ridge Country Club in Acton, has applied to DEP for a permit to withdraw up to 0.1377 million gallons per day (MGD) of irrigation water (annual average) from the groundwater of the Concord River Basin in Acton, MA through 2023. Water will be pumped from the months of May through October and will be used for golf course irrigation. The location of the withdrawal points are off Route 2A (Quail Ridge Country Club).
