Senior Quality Control Officer About GCSS

Role and Responsibilities of Senior Quality Control Officer
The Senior Quality Control Officer will be responsible for directly monitoring and managing the Bagram Bakery Affairs particularly the quality of ingredients and final product within the authorities delegated to him/her by the line manager. Other duties are include in coordinating and carrying out bakery operations to help meet departmental goals for quality control assurances.
1. Monitoring, supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in mixing, dividing, molding, and proofing of dough, and in baking, slicing, and wrapping of bread, pastries, and other bakery products. 2. Examines dough and batter for specified consistency. 3. Oversees operation of automatic machinery, such as rounding, curling, icing, slicing, and wrapping machines to ensure maintenance of specified quality standards and production schedules. 4. Analyses distributor and food supplier quality management systems as it relates to handling and movement of high risk food products and ingredients throughout the logistics chain. 5. Shall create, maintain and implement Food Safety plan and Standards, Sanitation plan Standards, Organic plan and Standards. 6. Communicates effectively to provide internal customers with appropriate awareness and knowledge of quality assurance standards, requirement, program updates and process changes. 7. Create, implement and maintain Supplier Qualification process. 8. Work with customer complaints and supplying customers with all the necessary documents to approve us as their vendors 9. Review, track, administer and report on quality-related documentation to ensure traceability, performance, compliance and accuracy. 10. Monitor facilities’ internal and external environments to ensure compliance with regulatory and Company expectations 11. Create, implement and maintain raw material program. Conduct QA tests on incoming and in-process materials, outgoing products, and packing suppliers 12. Create, implement and maintain Transportation and storage programs for all ingredients. 13. Conduct monthly Food Safety Committee meetings 14. Any other duties assigned by the line manager
Key Requirements
Successful candidates will meet the following conditions: - A minimum of three years’ experience in the mentioned roles, preferably in quality assurances of a private sector enterprise; - A minimum of 5 years of combined work experience in a professional environment. - A masters level education from a credible international institution, preferably with a focus on business, economics or related fields; - Experience of working in Afghanistan (mainly for international applicants); - Bachelor's degree in food-related major is minimum requirement - English proficiency is essential. Working knowledge of Dari and Pashto is desirable; - Proven writing skills, including professional writing; - Proven communication skills and ability to network and build and maintain professional relationships; and - Commitment and ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Contract Terms
Subject to a 3-months probationary period, employment contract will be for renewable periods of 12 months. Salary is negotiable and subject to meeting the above criteria.
