***** USE FOLLOWING FOR UNIT MOUNTED CONTROLS *****
23 82 39 - 2 Unit Heaters MPS Master SECTION 23 82 39
Controls with Cabinet Unit Heater: Provide the following controls (line voltage or low voltage) with the cabinet unit heater. Provide insulating base for sensors which occur on an outside wall.
Fan Control by Air Temperature: Remote or unit mounted thermostat monitors air temperature in the space. When the temperature drops below set point, the heating valve will open and the fan will turn on. When the space temperature is satisfied, the valve will close, and the fan will turn off. A remote temperature sensor shall be mounted in space or in return air stream.
Fan Control by Water Temperature: Aquastat monitors the temperature of the water leaving the coil. It will delay the motor blower until a predetermined water temperature is reached.
Valve Control by Air Temperature: Remote or unit mounted thermostat monitors air temperature in the space. When the temperature drops below set point, the heating valve will open. When the space temperature is satisfied, the valve will close. The blower runs continuously based on 3 speed switch positions. A remote temperature sensor shall be mounted in space or in return air stream.
PART - EXECUTION
UNIT HEATER INSTALLATION
Valves, Pipe, and Fittings: Install units with valves, pipe, and fittings as detailed on Drawings for steam and hot water systems.
Electrical: Power wiring for unit heaters shall be connected through disconnect switch to unit as described in Division 26 and Motor Schedule.
Control: Controls for unit heaters shall be installed and connected to units as described in Section 23 09 00, Building Management System.
Controls with Cabinet Unit Heater: Contractor shall mount any remote sensors when provided. Contractor shall setup and check out operation of the controls provided with the unit.
EQUIPMENT SCHEDULES
Refer to Drawings for schedules.
