Morning Snacks Following the success of our sale of toast during morning break, we are pleased to be able to offer bacon sandwiches every Wednesday morning, starting on 22nd May. The cost will be 50p per sandwich (one slice of bread and one rasher of bacon). If you wish your child to try one then please send them with 50p on a Wednesday. Toast will continue to be sold daily at a cost of 25p per slice.

PTA Disco / Access to Site May we remind all pupils to bring back their forms for disco tickets. Our disco takes place on Friday 17th and we hope it will prove a very enjoyable finish to our fun day of ‘Funky Socks’ and to our SATs week. In order to ensure the safety of our pupils we have decided to close the vehicular gate at 4.30 p.m. on this date which will remain closed for the duration of the disco. It will, therefore, be necessary to park in Apsley Road and walk through the pedestrian gate to bring and collect pupils from the disco / POSH Club. Thank you.

Musical Instruments Parents of pupils taking music lessons may be interested to know that ‘Oakleigh Music Shop’, is offering a 30 day interest free credit on instrument sales and also carries out a repair service. Their address is: Hereward Rise, Halesowen, B62 8AN. Their telephone number is 559 9707 should you wish to contact them. Grammar School Admission If any parents of Year Five pupils are interested in their child attending one of the Grammar Schools in Birimingham in September 2014 please see the details displayed on our notice board on the school drive or call into the office for more details. You may be interested to hear that it is now only necessary for them to sit one test even if they wish to be considered for more than one school and there is no specific catchment area for any of them, so parents may apply for admission wherever they live.

Funky Socks Day – Friday 17th May May we remind you all of our charity day which will be held on Friday of this week. All pupils are invited to take part in a ‘Funky Sock Day’ where all children who wish to can come to school dressed in Funky Socks with, or over, their school uniform. A separate letter with further information has already been sent out to you.

Year Six SATs On behalf of all the staff I would like to wish our Year Six the very best of luck with their SATs this week. We are pleased to see so many of them joining our Breakfast Club and we thank you for your support in this.

Yours sincerely, T.L. Jones
