Due: Monday, November 5 @ 4:00 pm, by email (single PDF file, named SE2007_P2_T#) Points: 100 Weight: 10% of the course grade

A Deliverables of Part II of the Project

Note: In the following denotes a team of three students and denotes a team of four.

For Part II of the project you should provide a Software Requirements Specification (SRS) document with the following sections and subsections:

0 Table of contents 1 Introduction: a general description of 400 to 800 words. You can reuse some text from the Project Concept (P-I) but try as much as possible to refine and enhance it. 2 Requirements specification: functional and non-functional requirements, prioritized on 3 levels, as complete as possible. 3 Use case modeling: a. Use case diagram: between 7 and 15 use cases. b. Detailed use cases: concise text descriptions (two to four lines each) for all the above use cases as well as detailed templates for 3 use cases or for 4 use cases . c. Scenarios: a total of 3 detailed scenarios or 4 detailed scenarios Note: for both use cases and scenarios use templates as in [Arlow & Neustadt 2002]. 4 Requirement traceability matrix: use cases/functional requirements. 5 Initial snapshots of the system’s user interface: at least three snapshots and at least four snapshots , with brief descriptions (but no more than 6 snapshots as detailed GUI design will be part of P-III). 6 Glossary of terms (at least 15 terms or 20 terms related to the problem’s domain). 7 List of references: at least four or six reference articles, with brief descriptions (30 to 60 words each). Note that in P-III larger descriptions as well as details on how the reference articles helped your project will be required. 8 Contributions of team members.

B Grading of Project Part II: Specification

1. Overall presentation of the SRS 15 points 2. Requirements (section 2) 25 points 3. Use case modeling (section 3) 25 points 4. All other sections 35 points ------Total 100 points

Note that both the technical content and the presentation style (including quality of writing and document formatting) of your SRS will be taken into consideration when grading the project.
