Back to Top Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Bay Area Big Brothers/Big Sisters seeks volunteer mentors for youth six to sixteen. We cover counties in Michigan: Delta, Dickinson, and Menominee. We now cover two counties in WI: Florence and Marinette. Our mission is to facilitate and enhance the positive development of youth through volunteer friendship, mentoring and outreach services. Assistance and training is available to volunteers! Commitment is usually around four to six hours per month and have the choice of either community-based or school-based programs. Back to Top Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Menominee County CASA seeks caring individuals to advocate for children involved in the court system due to allegations of neglect or abuse. Volunteers are screened, trained, and supported as they ensure the child’s voice is heard and make recommendations in the best interest of the child to the court. Their volunteers have unique duties, such as spending time with the terminally ill to provide a listening ear, giving caregivers the opportunity to attend appointments, going to lunch, or, in some cases, just taking a nap, knowing that their loved one is not alone. Volunteer Today Twin Counties Free Clinic (TCFC) TCFC seeks for doctors and nurses to volunteer their time in the clinic. This free clinic is open to Marinette/Menominee county residents who meet income guidelines - at or below 200% of the federal poverty level and are not insured. Meetings are held every Tuesday, 5:30pm-8:30pm, sometimes we finish up at 9:00pm, depending on patients' needs, at the BAMC Medical Office Building.
