Back to Top Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Bay Area Big Brothers/Big Sisters seeks volunteer mentors for youth six to sixteen. We cover counties in Michigan: Delta, Dickinson, and Menominee. We now cover two counties in WI: Florence and Marinette. Our mission is to facilitate and enhance the positive development of youth through volunteer friendship, mentoring and outreach services. Assistance and training is available to volunteers! Commitment is usually around four to six hours per month and have the choice of either community-based or school-based programs. Volunteers are screened, trained, and supported as they ensure the child’s voice is heard and make recommendations in the best interest of the child to the court. Meetings are held every Tuesday, 5:30pm-8:30pm, sometimes we finish up at 9:00pm, depending on patients' needs, at the BAMC Medical Office Building.
