2017 GENE ANDRZEJEWSKI SCHOLARSHIP ***College Students***

The Huntsville Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is offering the 2017 Gene Andrzejewski Scholarship to current college students pursuing a degree in acquisition, contracts, procurement management, accounting, logistics, or any business related field. NCMA members, relatives or non-members are encouraged to apply.

Qualification Criteria  Current college student  Enrolled in any business related field, to include acquisition, contracts, procurement management, accounting, logistics, etc.  3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale  Resident of Alabama

Guidelines 1. Complete the NCMA Application for Scholarship in MS WORD. Sign & date last page.

2. Submit an essay on either of the following topics: “Importance of Effective Contract Management” or “Importance of Ethical Business Practices and Accountability in Today’s Society” Essay must be typed, double spaced, 12 point font, Arial or Times New Roman. Must be a minimum of 400 words, maximum of 500. Must include cover sheet with applicant’s name, title of essay, and word count.

3. Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, professor, school counselor, academic advisor or employer.

4. Provide a copy of applicant’s most recent college transcript.

5. Provide verification of college enrollment.

Submission Instructions

Deadline for submission is April 21, 2017. Applications submitted after the deadline will NOT be accepted. Scholarship recipient will be announced May 10, 2017, with plaque to be presented at the NCMA Annual Awards Reception. Applications may be submitted in one of the following ways:

1) Mail a hardcopy of the completed application and all required data to: NCMA, ATTN: Scholarship Committee, PO Box 22206, Huntsville, AL 35814. Must be postmarked on or before April 21, 2017. OR 2) Email the completed application and all required data to: [email protected]. Email must be date/time stamped no later than April 21st at 11:59 pm.
