Media Responds to Thor Partnership Announcement The recent announcement of Invest in America’s partnership with Thor Industries generated significant media buzz, including placement in the Wall Street Journal and an AP article that appeared on Web sites including CNBC, Forbes, Business Week, MSN Money, New York Daily News, Washington Examiner, and The Street. The story also ran in the major credit union and RV trade press. Within two days after the release, the newsroom showed 75,000 headline reads.

Sprint Goes Green with IIA and Credit Unions According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, just 10% of the cell phones ready for end of life management in this country are recycled. Darren Beck, Manager of Resource Stewardship with Sprint, says “Americans toss a staggering 65,000 tons of unused cell phones into landfills every year.”

CUcorp and Invest in America have joined with Sprint to provide credit unions with counter-top displays for as many branch locations as they would like. Each display will be customized with the Sprint Credit Union Member Discount Program information and hold 50 free Sprint Project Connect envelopes. Each envelope is postage-paid and can be used to recycle wireless phones, batteries, accessories and data cards, regardless of carrier or condition.
