PREAMBLE

We hardly need a judo events and competition system, which really combine Baltic region clubs & federations interests to prepare their team members to main international target events. To make new system convinient, we point the preparation process to „between birth years” and adopt it to general school time limits.

TARGETS

 To analyze resources and level of particular region judoka age group.

 To form rating table based on results of competition system stages to promote sport development and to support best clubs and sportsmen.

 Prepare the selected TEAM to compete at the main Continental and World events for correspondent age.

AIMS (INTENTS, PURPOSES)

 To get enough analytic materials.

 To define strong and weak points in general judo education system in LR.

 Make recommendations how to improve education process in LR judo clubs.

Form and build up material base for selection TEAM operation.

 To harmonize school-year plan and youth judo training plans.

REQUIREMENTS

 To set dates of competitions, corresponding to free days of school (vocations).

 Full YEAR cycle of various events to achieve the target.

LIMITATIONS

 Same time is NOT allowed to conduct different age groups competitions.

 Not more than two age groups per competition day.

COMPETITIONS TIME

 For each age group competitions duration must not be more than 4 hours.

 Competition single stage not more, than 2 days.

i. Type of elimination: Pools – Round Robin, each pool produce 1 winner, promoting to half-finals (case 4 pools), or to final (case 2 pools). ii. Age groups: 2002 - 2003 - 2004 (B), 2000 - 2001 - 2002(A), iii. Age groups: 2006 - 2007 - 2008 (D), 2004 - 2005 - 2006 (C), iv. REFEREEING

Organizers provide referees. The Referee Meeting will be held prior the competitions start. The attendance to the Referee meeting is strictly compulsory. The referees should be dressed formally for this meeting.

The bow: The contestants must not shake hands BEFORE the start of the contest.

 When the athletes are leaving the mat they must wear judogi in proper way and are not allowed to take out any part of the judogi or the belt before leaving the field of play.

 Important: If an athlete does not respect the Judogi rules, the athlete will not be permitted to fight. The organizer is not obliged to provide reserve Judogi, but the athlete is allowed to present himself in another Judogi, complying with the Sokuteiki rule. In the case of a repeated offence judoka will be suspended for the rest of the competition. All markings on the Judogi, like Judogi brand logos, name of Judoka, etc. have to comply with the IJF Judogi Rules. Detailed information is available on http://www.eju.net/statutes.

 Strictly prohibited to wear Judogi with not conform Judoka name on the back number!

Special Refereeing Rules for Cadets:

 Application of kansetsu-waza is allowed and should continue until Maitta, tapping twice or the contestant is incapacitated by the effect of kansetsu-waza. Application of shime waza is allowed. An athlete who has lost consciousness due to shime waza is not allowed to continue the competition.
