JPR Duty Area : Apparatus Driver/Operator (FAE) & FF2 Subject: Pump Ops Refresher 5 Standpipe Operations Job Performance Requirement: Supply water to fire sprinkler and/or standpipe systems, given specific system information, a fire department pumper and fire department connections, so that water is supplied to the system at the proper volume and pressure. OSFM # Skill / Knowledge / Performance / Topic Description NFPA Standar Validated #1002 d 11-8-2 Demonstrate the method specified to supply water to fire sprinkler and Pass/Fai  standpipe systems so that water is supplied to the system at the l proper volume and pressure. 11-8.4 Calculate the hose layouts, pump discharge pressure, and procedures Pass/Fai  to adequately supply water to that sprinkler system. l 11-8-5 Calculate the hose layouts, pump discharge pressure, and procedure Pass/Fai  to adequately supply water to that standpipe system. l 11-8-6 Identify the proper methods and procedures to supply a standpipe Pass/Fai  system if the fire department connection is not usable l 11-8-7 Identify at least one method of determining actual water flow into a Pass/Fai  standpipe system l 2-6.24 Demonstrate the operation of a charged attack line 1 ½” or larger into 1001 Pass/Fai  a building connecting it to a standpipe and advancing the line from the l standpipe

GENERAL TASK STATEMENT:  Spot apparatus at fire department connection and make connection to FDC for standpipe operation and sprinkler system support.  Attack crew operates from high rise pack at assigned floor/level
