Hastings Valley Dressage Club Inc Claudia Ringland Memorial Trophy Day & HVDC Championships Sunday 29th of March 2015 - Wauchope Showground. The Claudia Ringland Memorial Day remembers a truly wonderful friend and a highly respected person in the community and horse industry.

Claudia was an accredited horse breeder & trainer of racing, quarter horses, show & Dressage horses and also the owner of Wauchope Saddlery - A.K.A “The Wauchoppee Saddlery Team” out and about with her friends and team of beautiful horses.

Claudia’s real passion lay between her son Richard, her husband Col, and her 2 lovely ponies “Benny and Bart”. Her love for her horses shone through with their peak condition at all times, coats that glistened like silk even in the middle of winter, their “once a week rug wash” without fail, and the immaculate environment that they lived in.

Claudia was immaculate. Her clothes were immaculate, her hair was immaculate, her fingernails were immaculate (every Monday morning having them buffed, filed & polished, and the broken ones glued back on, after she would spend ages looking for the broken bit of nail that she would never leave behind, then stash it in her pocket until Monday!!)

Claudia’s car was immaculate, & she was ever so relieved that when she bought her SAAB, it didn’t blow her hair around too much when she drove it with the roof folded back! Claudia’s house was immaculate..... But comfortably immaculate.

On the 30th of August 1995 Claudia’s life was cut way too short and we lost our immaculate and beautiful friend.

For those who knew Claudia, she taught and passed onto us some of her immaculate ways. I personally like to think that we can show her these immaculate things through having this memorial competition in honour of Claudia.

The colours used for the rosettes on this day represent those that Claudia proudly used on her horses: The Black, Green and Gold was worn by “Benny”; The Black, Purple and Silver was worn by “Bart”

The trophy is made from a Red Cedar tree which stood at Claudia’s property, which was kindly made for this special event by Claudia’s husband Col.
