Peripheral Items German Unification Day was 3 October. The conference had no meetings in the afternoon of that day for the participants to take part in the national holiday. I got a front row ticket to a Berlin Philharmonic benefit concert on that day. Also, I got to visit the Brandenburg Gate (Bill Clinton was there, but we didn’t meet).
