BIBLE STUDY: It’s that time of the year again and Bible Classes will be starting on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.The story of the bible is Christocentric – centered on Christ. Everything that is written in the Old Testament points forward to the coming and the work of Jesus Christ. The New Testament explains it, and the Church celebrates it. As Christians, we read the Old Testament in light of Christ crucified and risen, and we read the New Testament in light of the Old. St. Augustine stated, “The New Testament lies hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is unveiled in the New.” We will focus on “The Pentateuch – the 1st 5 books of the Bible. We will go back to the beginning of time with “the Story of Creation” in genesis and progress through the Early World, the Patriarchs, Egypt and the Exodus. From Mt. Horeb where Moses received the commandments, we will proceed into the depths of each of the Commandments. There will be a total of 14 classes. It commences on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Classes start up at 9:15 a.m. This series should end by December 19th. If you are interesting in attending these classes, please call Bridget Bowman at 663- 6025 within the next two weeks so that I can order books for you. This applies to any new- comers to the class for ordering books. If you’ve previously attended and would like to take it again as a “refresher,” you will be able to use the same text as before. Looking forward to having you in class. Thank you. Bridget Bowman.
