NEENAH HIGH SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 Daily Student Announcements

ORGANIZATIONS:

The Debate Team will meet in the ARC every Monday from 6pm-8pm. Anyone who is interested in debate should stop in!

Knitting Club meets Mondays from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm in room 322. Please see Mrs. Uvaas for details.

The Urban Farm Club will meet on Monday’s in room 404. Please see Mrs. Dorschner or Mrs. Rogers with any questions.

The AFS Club meets on Monday after school in room 164B from 3:25-3:45. Please see Mrs. Counter for further information.

Action, Humor, Drama, Anime Club has it all. We meet on Mondays in room 200 after school. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the exciting world of Anime.

Student Council will be meeting on Tuesday, at 7:15 am in the Conant Little Theater. New and old members are welcome!!

Art Club meets every Tuesday at 3:20 pm in room 420. See Mrs. Mullard for details.

The Chess Club will be meeting every Tuesday after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Apollo commons. Chess club meets every week until mid-April.

The Eco Club will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Please see Mrs. Vanderkolk if interested.

The Culinary Club will meet Tuesday, September 8th at 3:30 pm in room 418. Please talk with Mrs. Garbe for more details.

Yoga Club meets Tuesdays from 3:45 pm – 4:45 pm in room 144. Bring your own mat. Please see Ms. Bork with any questions.

The Satellite will be meeting in room 134 on Wednesdays after school.

Latino Club Meets Wednesdays at 3:20 pm in room 326. See Mrs. Torres.

Key Club meets on Thursday, at 7:15 am in the Conant Little Theater.

The Chess Club will be meeting every Thursday after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Apollo commons. Chess club meets every week until mid-April.

Gender & Sexuality Alliance's first meeting will be Thursday, 9/17 at 3:30 in the Career Center. (Room 322) We will have pizza! See Mrs. Shea or Mrs. Bauman for questions.

Attention all Business and Information Technology Academy Members, There will be a meeting on Thursday 9/17 at 7 a.m. in Rm. 122. Updating your portfolios, the upcoming field trip, and resume workshop will all be discussed. Please plan to attend.

Spanish Club will meet every other Friday starting on Sept. 11, from 7:15-7:45 am in room 314. Come see what Spanish Club is all about! Please see Ms. Ray with any questions.

The 1st Game Day for the Gaming Club will be on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, starting at 10 AM - 6 PM. It will be held in the Apollo Commons. Please see Mr. Elliott with any questions.

______GENERAL:

Would you like to travel to Peru to see Machu Picchu in the summer of 2016 on a service trip? There will be a meeting on Wednesday, Sept 23rd, at 6:30 pm in room 424 (The Little Conant theater). If you can't make the meeting, please contact Mr. Borchardt in room 416 or email [email protected]

Homecoming Guest passes are available in the activity office, Rm. 321. Anyone who is bringing a guest that does not attend Neenah H.S. must have a guest pass filled out and returned to Mrs. Dohr no later than September 30th.

The Fall Musical, Joseph and the Amazing, Technicolor Dreamcoat, will be presented on October 15, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 25. Tickets cost $10.00 (adults), $8.00 (students/seniors).

Attention Lifeguards! Are you interested in becoming WSI certified? A class will be offered here atNeenah high school during the months of September and October. Please see Mrs Dohr in the girls' wellness office asap to sign up if you are interested.

Attention Lifeguards: The wellness dept. still needs a lifeguard for mod 1 It is only a 6 week job not the whole semester and mod 2 and that is only an 8 week job. Please see Mrs Vicki Dohr if you are interested! Also last call for a WSI class that begins on Sunday Sept 20...you do not need a lifeguard certificate to take part in this class but you must be 16. Second semester lifeguards you may want to get in on this!!

Note on students getting jobs – all students under the age of 18 are required to obtain a work permit after they are hired, but before they start working. Work permits cost $10.00. The student is required to have a letter from the employer, showing that they have been hired, and a parent signature somewhere on that letter, and their social security card. They should bring all these things either to City Hall in Neenah, or to Mrs. Pierce at Door 3 at the high school to obtain the permit.
