Please read through the CCDP Criteria Guidelines carefully. DO NOT include any information that:

a) has not been requested or b) is in violation of the BCCDA Code of Ethics and the Privacy Act (i.e. anything that would reveal the identities/names or personal information of clients such as individual workshop evaluations or client thank you cards) unless signed consent has been obtained.

1. BCCDA will use the name provided above on your CCDP certificate 2. It is the practitioner’s responsibility to promptly submit any changes to his or her contact information to the BCCDA, including change of name, address, email and phone number. 3. Your name and city of residence will be posted on the BCCDA website, as long as you remain a BCCDA member in good standing. This will allow other members, employers, and clients to identify current CCDP holders and therefore BCCDA members. As a member, you are taken to have consented to publication of your name and city, unless you request that it not occur. Under the Personal Information Protection Act, the BCCDA will not publish any other information about members without their consent. 4. BCCDA members must renew their membership annually to maintain their CCDP certification.

Section 4. CCDP Maintenance Log

To become and maintain your status as a CCDP holder, you must complete and log a minimum of 25 hours of professional activities completed every year. Training activities may be done through BCCDA, or through other organizations and training providers. CCDP holders can claim up to a maximum 10 hours of indirect activities such as reading, writing and research (Find more details in Eligible Professional Development Activities section)

To maintain your CCDP status, you must submit completed a CCDP Maintenance Log for review 30 days prior to your CCDP anniversary date. If additional information or continuing education is required, we will grand you an additional 60 day grace period to complete the requirements. After this time, your CCDP status will be paused until all requirements are met. Please ensure that each professional activity addresses at least one Core Competency and at least one area of Specialization from the Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners (see Sample CCDP Maintenance Log). You must demonstrate all four core competencies to be qualified. For each activity, please clearly describe how the activity enhanced your practice (What did you learn and how does it apply to your work?) You must save supporting documents for all professional activities claimed for one year after submission as they may be required for randomized audits. Examples of accepted documentation include, but are not limited to the following:  Receipts  Certificates of attendance  Transcripts  Conference agendas  Programs  Course outlines  Notes taken at conferences/workshops  Reading and research notes  Copies or url for published articles, blogs, letters of support and/or reference.
