ALABAMA SEO The Alabama Food Safety Section's responsibilities are primarily regulatory in nature and serve to assure safe quality products for the Alabama consumer. The activities of the Food Safety Section are carried out by three units: (1) Food Safety Inspection, (2) Food and Drug Laboratory, and (3) Pesticide Residue Laboratory.
It is the obligation of every retail food service establishment including but not limited to, restaurants, delis, caterers, mobile food trucks, healthcare facilities, schools, amusement facilities, social clubs, etc to maintain clean, sanitary operations and have a Person In Charge (PIC) available at all times to oversee the food safety of the operation.
Food and Alcohol Safety Classes is Alabama’s leading provider of food safety training and certification. The Certified Food Safety Manager and the Certified Food Protection Manager are offered throughout the state as live instructor led classes in addition to a wide selection of online courses and exams.
