Pacifica High School World History 2016-2017 Mr. Cadilli ([email protected]) WELCOME TO WORLD HISTORY! *We will study World History in order to understand our shared World Heritage and see how influences around the world throughout history have influenced us here in America today. This will be a challenging class that will help prepare you for college level and upper classman courses by improving your note-taking, test-taking, reading & writing skills. In addition, scholars will have the opportunity to take the stage in debates, presentations, Socratic seminars to improve your thinking ability and by the end of the year you will feel prepared for the more difficult US History course junior year. I believe this class is important because you are the ones who will eventually lead this country in areas of business, education, law, politics, economics, religious and family life in our community and knowledge of our world’s past will aid you in any of these endeavors, in ways you may not even think possible. By learning lessons of our past you will gain insights to the creation of governments and law, philosophy and art, religions and traditions that are the foundation of our country and world today!

Proof that you cannot separate World and America History
