Important News

 Dec. 15th is Animal Day.

 RCS Christmas Store is on Friday, December 15th from 10:15-11:15.

 RCS Chorus will be singing this Sunday, Dec. 17th in the 8:30 service.

 The RCS Geography Bee will be on Tuesday, December 19th at 9:30. Parents are welcome to attend the Geography Bee. We will be trying out for the Geography Bee this Friday morning in our classroom.

 The fourth graders alone have raised over $45 for Lutheran World Relief! That amount would allow us to purchase a piglet. We will be working with the fifth and sixth grade classes towards our donation for Lutheran World Relief this year. We will still be collecting money this last school week in December. Thank you for your generous donations!

 The RCS Christmas program will be on Friday, December 22nd, at 1:00. Students will be dismissed right after the program. We will not have childwatch or busses after school on Friday, December 21st. We will also have our special Christmas lunch in our classrooms and our Christmas party that day. A note was sent home regarding the party. We are asking students to bring $10 to cover the cost.

 We will also be having our Christmas gift exchange. Girls should bring in a wrapped gift for $3-$5 for a girl and the same for the boys. You just need to indicate who the gift is from.

 Students should have all of their A.R. points by Friday, Dec. 22nd when A.R. closes for the quarter.

 Could you please save your Christmas cards that were sent to you when the holiday season is over? I will reuse them for a project. Thank you!

 Students need to dress appropriately for the cold weather. Boots or an extra pair of shoes will be needed for outside recess if there is snow on the playground. We will be going outside even if it is snowing. Sometimes, however, the playground is too wet or icy. In this case we will go to the gym, if it is available. If not, we will have recess in the classroom. Spelling Words: NONE

I hope you enjoy this weekend with your child and family. May peace and joy surround you as the birth of our Savior approaches.

God bless,
