Attention South Russell Seniors The South Russell Village Officials are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2017 South Russell Senior Trash Pick-Up Days April 26th (West of 306) & April 27th (East of 306)
Sign Up Is EASY • Here’s how … First Register with the Geauga County Department on Aging by April 19, or earlier! Once registered, seniors can call to be placed on the trash pick-up roster. Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older and live in South Russell Village. The South Russell Service Department and the Department on Aging will pick up refuse from the seniors who need assistance and take it to village dumpsters. Please note the following guidelines: No liquids, paint, or other hazardous materials, construction debris, rocks, yard waste, or household garbage will be accepted. We will accept up to 4 tires off the rims, appliances and miscellaneous items. Please, only 10 household items per home, and the trash should be from that senior’s household only. All materials should be consolidated in strong boxes and items should be kept dry (tarped) if possible. Place items outside garage or home for pick up. DO NOT place items at curbside. For more information on the pick-up and to register call the Department on Aging weekdays 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM at (440) 279-2129, (440) 279-2130, or Stop at the South Russell Road Department. Remember, only registered seniors can be placed on the pick-up list! So don’t wait, call now! Those signing up for pick-up, please have a list of items needing removed.
