Committee Reports Fundraising Committee: Wendy Boese – We currently have $1755 from Shirt Sales and $1,567.23 from the Book Fair. We do not have Net profit totals yet.

New Business  Andy Schommer presented information about CLC Soccer. He is looking for a donation of $500 for a pair of portable soccer goal posts. We currently do not have the funds available but with the fundraisers we will be doing throughout the year we may have enough to fund this. We will revisit this again in the Spring.

 Fundraising o Teresa suggested a Cell Phone fundraiser. Anyone can drop off old cell phones, DVD’s, ink cartridges ect. We would place drop boxes around the community , pick items up periodically and the company would pay for shipping these items to them at no charge. Everyone liked this idea. Teresa will fill out fundraiser application.

o Jana suggested a Gift Brick fundraiser. For a certain fee you can have an inscription on a brick. 2 companies in Southern Wisconsin offer this. Packet is coming in the mail for pricing and more information. Everyone liked this idea and decided this would be done April – June to give us enough time to plan for this. o Wendy suggested we sell Flowers and bulbs along with the brick for parents who can’t afford to buy bricks. o Tracey (from Holly as well) suggested we should have a Carnival on the First day Celebration. This could also include Middle School and High School students and be a community event. This could be a really big event or a small event and improve each year until it is a big event. Organizations could come and sell their stuff as well as have fun activities for the kids to do. Everyone liked this idea but more specifics need to be laid out before anyone was ready to approve this fundraiser. o Tracey suggested a cookbook fundraiser. She knows a special website company that you can type your recipe right online and they will mail you the completed book. Everyone liked this idea and decided this would be good for January – March timeframe. o Jill mentioned she was contacted by a “card” company where you would send a stack of cards home with students, they would fill them out with family and friends’ and names addresses. The cards would be mailed back to the company, they would send out information to the family and friends’ asking them to please order from this catalog for a fundraiser for your school. Majority of people were not interested. Too afraid of getting more junk mail or being put on mailing lists because of this. o Troy suggested we have classroom contests for the box tops for education, Campbell’s soup labels, milk caps ect. fundraiser. The winning classroom would receive a popcorn or movie party. Everyone liked this idea and thought we should do this. More planning is needed at a future meting. o Michelle and Jill suggested selling water bottles and mugs at Christmas time. Michelle has a relative that does screen printing so she will check on minimum order quantities and prices. Everyone liked this idea and decided this would be good for December timeframe. o Colleen suggested selling items at the Craft Fair which is in the Middle School Gym October 13th. We could make “recipe in a Jar” items to sell. Everyone liked this idea and decided this would be good for next year. We would not have enough time to make items since this is only a few weeks away. o Piper suggested candy bar sales. She received a packet in the mail that included pricing  Hillary suggested an end of the year field day for all elementary students. Everyone liked this idea and felt we need more ideas and a plan. Everyone agreed to come to the next meeting with suggestions.

 Gail Fredrickson (not present) suggested a Parent Bulletin Board down by the Gym where children are picked up from school. Jill asked Teresa O if we could use the bulletin board that is down by the Title 1 room. Teresa said yes we could. Everyone liked this idea and felt we should do this. No one is currently assigned to this project.

 Jill went over 1st Day Celebration results from the survey that was taken by parents and teachers.

 Tammy Hoff (via email) suggested we allow more time to get shirt orders in next time. Everyone agreed we should do this next time.
