Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival Announces Local Auditions
AUBURN, N.Y. – The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival announces local auditions for its upcoming 2016 season to be held at the end of January. Shows include: Oklahoma!, the US premiere of the new blockbuster, From Here to Eternity, Austen’s Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice, Crazy for You, the regional premiere of Treasure Island, Million Dollar Quartet, the regional premiere of Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical and Smokey Joe’s Cafe.
Producing Artistic Director, Brett Smock states, “Last year, we had a tremendous turnout for our auditions. With each passing year, it is evident that the Finger Lakes host a hot bed of talent and arts enthusiasm. We look forward to auditioning more dynamic artists this year and always look to create engagement opportunities within our community. We’d love to see more local faces on our stage. Remember to sign up early – slots fill up very quickly and we want to be sure to see as many people as possible!”
Auditions will be held by appointment only. All roles are available. Equity and Non- Equity. Paid positions. Internships and Observerships also available.

The Festival will once again operate on three stages, with a new venue added this year in Rochester, NY where the fresh and romantic Austen’s Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice will play the Callahan Theater at Nazareth College Arts Center. In Auburn, at its flagship venue, the Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, the Festival will present Oklahoma!, From Here to Eternity, Crazy for You, Treasure Island, Million Dollar Quartet, Tenderly and Smokey Joe’s Café. And, celebrating its fifth anniversary, sponsored by Generations Bank, the new-works series The PiTCH returns with seven new writing teams presenting their new musicals in development. The PiTCH will run from June 16 – July 30 at Theater Mack.
