Vehicle Exportation Documentation Requirements for any Self-Propelled Land vehicle.

In order to export motor vehicles from Port Everglades and Miami, US Customs requires the following documents. Any deviation to these requirements will result in the documents being rejected. All copies are to be hand signed and submitted as (1) original and (3) copies.

1) Title, bill of sale or commercial invoice (indicating actual seller and Buyer’s names/addresses/signatures.) – Notarized (by US notary or US Consulate/US Embassy where owner resides.)

2) Power of Attorney (specific form attached) – Notarized (by US notary or US Consulate/US Embassy where owner resides.)

3) Letter on owner’s letterhead verifying the signer of the power of attorney is an agent or representative of the company who is authorized to sign export documents and provide shipping instructions.

4) A photocopy of US driver’s license or passport photo page of the person who signed the power of attorney.

Keep in mind the above information is only valid for vessels sailing from Miami or Port Everglades. Other US loading ports have different validation requirements and it is the shipper responsibility to validate.

VEHICLE/CONTAINER CONTAINING VEHICLE MUST BE DELIVERED TO EXPORT CARRIER FACILITY BEFORE PRESENTATION OF DOCUMENTATION TO CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION. COMPLIANCE IS MANDATORY, CARRIERS AND EXPORTERS ARE LIABLE FOR PENALTIES SET FORTH IN 19CFT PART 192-EXPORT CONTROL.

ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE EXPORTATION OF A SELF PROPELLED VEHICLE MUST BE PRESENTED TO CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION AT THE ACTUAL PORT OF EXPORTATION, A MINIMUM OF 72 HOURS (BUSINESS DAYS) PRIOR TO THE DEPARTURE OF THE VESSEL. WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE NOT INCLUDED.

EMAPLE: DOCUMENTS PRESENTED ON A FRIDAY WITH NO HOLIDAY SHALL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR EXPORTATION UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. EXPORT POWER OF ATTORNEY
