PTS Need-Based Assistance includes: Tuition Grant Housing Grant Work-Support Opportunity

BEGINNING on November 21, 2016, the Financial Aid Office will begin to accept complete Financial Aid Packets. In order to qualify, master-degree seeking students must demonstrate need and apply each year. All applications are processed on a “first come – first served” basis until funds are exhausted. Incomplete packets will not be processed.

HOW TO COMPLETE FINANCIAL AID PACKET:

1. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line at www.fafsa.gov

a. PTS Federal School Code: G03356 b. Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IDR) in the financial section c. Use 2015 Tax information and Income

2. If choosing NOT to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IDR), submit an IRS Tax Transcript. A 2015 Tax Transcript (NOT a Tax ACCOUNT Transcript) may be obtained through: a. Automated Telephone Request 800-908-9946 b. Get Transcript by MAIL – Go to www.irs.gov, under Tools heading; click “Get a Transcript by MAIL”. c. Get Transcript by ONLINE – Go to www.irs.gov, under Tools heading; click “Get a Transcript by ONLINE”.

3. If a student and spouse filed separate 2015 returns, the IRS DRT cannot be used and the 2015 IRS Tax Transcript for BOTH must be provided.

4. Submit PTS Financial Application to the Financial Aid Office ______
