Scholarship and Financial Planning Bethany University will work closely with guaranteed admission transfer students to help them qualify for undergraduate merit scholarship. The merit scholarship is designed for the transfer student who has completed at least 24 semester units of transferable credit with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better. Minimum scholarship amount is $2,000 per year, provided 12 semester units full time coursework and GPA levels are maintained.

Transfer Credit Guidelines Bethany University recommends that interested transfer students work closely with a transfer center counselor and a Bethany enrollment advisor to select appropriate transferable courses leading to guaranteed admission at Bethany University. Bethany University transfer procedures follow the CSU pattern of study with the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) to maximize course transfer and simplify progress towards satisfaction of Bethany University’s general education requirements. Only students who are not currently enrolled, and who have not previously enrolled, at Bethany University may use the IGETC program to meet the general education requirements at Bethany University. Beyond the courses included in the IGETC pattern, students who transfer to Bethany University will be required to take additional general education coursework: 18 units of Biblical and Theological studies; an English Competency Exam taken at Bethany University; and units of Physical Education meeting the competencies covered in Bethany’s Nutrition, Self Esteem, and Exercise and Fitness and Wellness courses.

Interested students who do not meet the criteria for guaranteed admission will be considered on a case by case basis. Bethany University may require the submission of additional supporting documents such as high school transcripts in order to determine admissibility.
