2.05 pm 1. CTSA support a. Summer CPD sessions. CG outlined these 3 sessions on Timetabling, Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment. ACTION - ASW to e mail flier to Senior Leaders in all 3 Trust Schools. Razna also. b. CPD Calendar 2016-17. Draft Tree outlined. CG went through all 4 areas of the Tree and the list of programmes was highlighted. All details are on, or will be on, the website. CPD Co-ordinators will be sent a pack with a big poster, post cards and weekly calendar by Monday 20 June. c. Weekly updates on a Monday morning into in boxes. ACTION - Attendees to send ASW list of those who they think should get it. SLE application windows now in May and October. Encourage anyone interested in being an SLE to put applications in by end of May. Candidates will then be shortlisted for interview. Those who are successful in the interview will be invited to the training in September to become full SLEs. Karen has 2 possibly for now and 1 for October in a range of subjects. DHS possibly will delay until October. Dallow has none at the moment. Foxdell may well have some. Appropriate Body news. We’ve been working with Dr Challoners to devise an on line system to do the paperwork for AB work. The new on line system has ‘fail safes’ built in and the Head will have final sign off say so. The AB work is really important especially when things go wrong with NQTs. The Induction Day in July to be included in the training cost. ACTION – NQT Induction Day in July – check last years’ or this years’?? ACTION – any already known NQTs should be signed up to us an AB NOW!

2. Update from Challenge Partners a. The Go to Guide is available electronically and has a useful calendar. b. 2016-17 Action Plan. Last year’s plan was met, but it was difficult to evaluate whether this was because of CP or more general Teaching School Activities. The new plan for this year must be much more exclusively focuses on CP activity. c. CP budget. We have funding of £8,200 to use from CP in The Hub. It was agreed that this be used to encourage staff to plan visits to other schools. This will give us up to 41 visits to be made across the hub. Each visit should be written up and collated. 2.20 pm d. QA reviewer training to be developed into more diverse models. e. Leadership Development Days. We have sent out a message asking if any schools could host a day in one particular area. Target to be set in the plan. f. CP Directory very useful also for seeing good practice in action elsewhere. This will be another part of the plan, linked to bringing in nationally good practice to our hub. Action: CG to write protocols for funding of school visits. Action: CG to draft new action plan for 2016-17

3. Challenge Partner recent reviews / Ofsted inspections: sharing of information. CHSB have not had any QAR visits recently. DHS Head has been to Leicester and had a 2.45 pm really positive experience. Dallow have had their QAR but have reported back already and have been visited also. CG will go along as Hub Manager to QAR feedback sessions. Schools to invite him as appropriate.

4. CLT developments. a. Schools joining the CLT do not need to becomes Challenge Partner schools. A discussion was had about making this a necessary part of joining the Trus, but no 3.10 pm decision was made. b. Primary SCITT – due to expand into this next year. Could be another ‘carrot’ for retention.

5. Topics for future meetings. Challenge Partner business only. Item 1 – to agree and flesh out the visit action plan ready for September. Item 2 – share dates of QAR. 3.40 pm Item 3 – national feedback.
