Professional Development & School Involvement

Blended Learning Academy School Year 2013-2014 Create an active student centered learning environment that incorporates Blended Learning Models, Project Based Learning while identifying and implementing best practices of engagement, assessment and differentiation.

Scheduling Committee School Year 2012-2013 Participate in the development of a school-wide schedule that maximizes literacy and math skills throughout the entire school day.

LOTE 6-12 CCLS School Year 2012-2013 Participate in conversation of current changes regarding the Common Core Learning Standards and assessment. Collaborate to construct curriculum and lesson plans that are aligned to the Common Core Learning Standards and develop evidence collection strategies.

BER Seminar: Enriching Foreign Language Instruction School Year 2011-2012 Obtain powerful strategies and activities that engage students and increase student achievement and create an interactive environment to promote a greater understanding of the target language vocabulary, grammar, and culture.

Course Development School Year 2011-2012 Co-development of college-level courses, French Level 4 & Level 5, at the High School for college credit. College courses were designed and aligned to meet course levels FRE 201 and FRE 202 at SUNY Oswego.

Assessment Development School Year 2011-2012 Participate in the development of communicative-based exams for World Language Students. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing exam items were created for Checkpoint A and Checkpoint B.
