AppleOne POS – Check Corrections – PULLBACK TABLE Beginning in March 2009 the unit will no longer be able to access credit card numbers on the Back Office computers. If a credit transaction is pulled back, the help desk will need to be contacted to obtain the card number before the transaction is reprocessed. PULL BACK AND PROCESSING OF CHECKS WITH INCORRECT TOTALS

Go to FOH Terminal  Other Menu o Pull Back  Manager Swipes Card o Select the Check . Verify the correct table and Guest . Verify again  Select “Pullback Table”  *IMPORTANT* Pullback option will automatically “VOID” online payment approval. o Check will then be returned to the table on the POS . Re-close check using one of the following steps

RECLOSE CHECK WITH GUEST & CARD PRESENT  Server will re-swipe credit card to close check in POS and Enter Tip

RECLOSE CHECK, CARD NOT PRESENT  Open AppleOne Cards in Back of House Serve in Manager’s Officer o Login and Select View Modify . Select Current Day Journal  Locate Transaction on Journal that was recently VOIDED  Call the Dine Equity Help Desk at: 1-800-332-8958 o Once unlocked match the control number on the customer receipt with the tracking number on the batch report o Write down the entire card number and 4 digit expiration date. o Verify numbers and close out of screen.  Go to front of house to close check on the POS o Select table o Close Check o Electronic payment o Manual Entry  Manager Swipes card o Enter card number and expiration date o Enter payment amount select DONE o Review Transaction Information select Accept  Upon completion of the process IMMEDIATELY destroy card information  Server will then proceed with the normal close of the check in the POS & enter tip

 Please note that this process will result in an additional authorization on the guest's card.
